    Otunba 'Dele Ajayi-Smith

    Founder, President & CEO, African Citizens Development Foundation (ACDF)
    Otunba 'Dele Ajayi-Smith is a distinguished development practitioner with three decades of leadership advancing sustainable development across Africa. As Founder and CEO of the ACDF since 1995, his leadership ensured sustained impact on continental development initiatives.
    His integrated approach to social development encompasses education, food security, and civil society strengthening. Through Citizens Schools (established 1997), he champions youth development and educational excellence in Nigeria. As founder of the Society for Shelter, Education, Food, and Agricultural Development in Africa (ASSEFAD) in 2000, he addressed critical food security challenges. As Co-Founder of the International Organisation for Africa Development, headquartered in the United States he is creating international cooperation toward integrated health solutions.
    A seasoned Project Development Practitioner, Otunba Ajayi-Smith holds fellowships with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA) and Certified Institute of Cost Management (FCCM). He serves as Executive Chairman of Hammersmith Projects Solutions Limited and previously led the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Engineering Services Trade Group.
    His civil society leadership includes chairing the Board of Trustees for WANGO Nigerian Chapter and serving as President of NACEVO and bears the traditional title of Otunba Agbeluga of Ijebu-Imusin.

Author of "United Nations Unlocked" and forthcoming "Transilience," Dr. Judd Smith specializes in building corruption-resistant, community-empowering systems. Her adaptive capacity-building methodology—honed through international youth leadership, business transformation, and diplomatic engagement—bridges grassroots needs with international support systems.

    Dr. Karen Judd Smith brings more than 25 years of experience at the intersection of technology, peace, justice and systems innovation to her role spearheading the innovative IOAD Commitment Infrastructure Project—recognizing human dynamics as the catalyst and nexus of meaningful change.

    An Australian native who has worked extensively across international organizations and traveled to over 35 countries, Dr. Judd Smith combines deep technological understanding with proven social impact expertise. As a full-stack developer with cybersecurity and digital crime expertise, she has advised the UN's CIO and Information Communication and Technology Network, while maintaining active involvement with the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) and serving as Chair of the Alliance of NGOs on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice at the UN.

    Her unique adaptive capacity building methodology emerged from decades of diverse operational experience—from directing international youth leadership programs managing 100+ vessels and 350 participants, to restructuring and turning around struggling businesses, to designing corruption-resistant approaches for international development. These insights are captured in "United Nations Unlocked" and her forthcoming book "Transilience," offer frameworks for navigating personal and organizational transformation.

    Dr. Judd Smith has consistently built resilient, self-sustaining systems that empower communities. She led development of a charter for an innovative interreligious peace council, directed fact-finding missions and reconciliation initiatives in the Middle East, and pioneered training programs helping individuals and their organizations develop adaptive capacities essential for navigating rapid change. Her leadership style emphasizes collaborative innovation—assembling and orchestrating diverse expert teams so technical solutions can serve community-defined needs.

    This foundation—spanning grassroots community development to high-level diplomatic engagement—uniquely positions Dr. Smith to lead the multidisciplinary team guiding the initial phases of the IOAD Commitment Infrastructure Project. As President, she provides the systems architecture and integration expertise essential for weaving technological, medical, financial, and community development components into a cohesive, scalable solution. Her proven ability to build multi-stakeholder coalitions and navigate complex UN environments ensures the project can effectively bridge local community needs with international support systems while maintaining the commitment protocols and transparency essential for sustainable, corruption-resistant impact.

    Otunba ‘Dele Ajayi-Smith is the Founder, President, and CEO of the African Citizens
    Development Foundation (ACDF), established in 1995. The Foundation has been granted
    Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council
    (ECOSOC) since 2009 and with the UN Department of Public Information (UNDPI) since
    2007, reflecting its significant contribution to developmental initiatives across Africa.
    He is also the proprietor of Citizens Schools, a secondary institution founded in 1997 at
    Temu, Epe, Lagos State, as part of the Foundation’s youth development program. The
    school aims to foster a “cultured society” by nurturing well-rounded, educated young
    Africans.

    In 2000, Otunba ‘Dele Ajayi-Smith founded the Society for Shelter, Education, Food, and
    Agricultural Development in Africa (ASSEFAD), dedicated to promoting food security across
    Nigeria and the continent.

    Professionally, Otunba ‘Dele Ajayi-Smith served as Managing Director of Capital
    Preservative Limited from 1984 to 1995 and currently holds the position of Executive
    Chairman of Hammersmith Projects Solutions Limited. He has also been actively involved
    in the business community, serving as Chairman of the Engineering Services and Repairs
    Trade Group of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) until 2021 and
    participating as a Council Member of the Chamber.

    His leadership extends into the nonprofit sector, where he has held several notable
    positions: he is a former President of the Iju Lions Club, Chair of the Board of Trustees for
    the World Association of NGOs (WANGO) Nigerian Chapter, and President/Chairman of the
    Board of Trustees of the Nigerian Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organizations (NACEVO). Additionally, he served as Chairman of the Nigeria Institute of
    Management (NIM) Epe Division.

    Otunba ‘Dele Ajayi-Smith is a Chartered Manager and a seasoned Project Development
    Practitioner. He is a full member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM), the
    London Institute of Directors (MIoD), and holds Fellowships with the Chartered Institute of
    Management Accountants (FCMA) and the Certified Institute of Cost Management (FCCM).
    His philanthropic contributions have earned him numerous accolades, including the
    prestigious traditional chieftaincy title of Otunba Agbeluga of Ijebu-Imusin, Ogun State,
    awarded in 2001. His international recognitions include the African Business Leadership
    Award (Paris, 1990), African International Award of Merit (2001), Achiever’s Platinum Award
    for Global Excellence (2002), Leadership in Nigeria Education Gold Award (2005), and the
    Distinguished Nation-Builder Merit Award (2006). Other honors include the Great Legend in
    Africa Gold Award (2008), the Standard Performance Award from the Institute of Public
    Relations (2009), and recognition as Leader of the Month by the Association of Chief
    Executives of Voluntary Organizations (ACEVO) in the UK.

    He is also the Founding President of the International Organisation for Africa Development
    (IOAD), headquartered in the United States, and serves as the Permanent Representative of
    the African Citizens Development Foundation (ACDF) to the United Nations.
